The Very Dignified Dutchess
Dutchess is a Komondor, an American Kennel Club working group breed that was
"... originally developed in Hungary to guard large herds of animals on the open plains...". Dutchess and I go on regular
walks and I am honored to be her friend. Dutchess adores her Mom and is a very gentle and friendly girl.
She seems to be a bit camera shy, so my very amateur pictures are not very good. She is a beautiful dog, and her summer
cut helps keep her cool on our walks.

Another Happy Pet Family!
This family has two of the cutest little Pomeranians and four beautiful kitties.
It was hard to get good pictures of the pups, Shelby especially, because she is in constant motion. She had a fresh
new haircut too and looked so good! I did get a pretty good picture of Scooter - he liked the camera. And
the kitties were very hard to photograph. All I got was one pretty bad picture of Elliott; missing are pictures of the
beautiful Glitter, and the elusive blue grey kitties Lovey and Squirt.

Paws For Cancer, May 6, 2006
Aiken Pet Sitters sponsored three clients in the 2006 edition of Paws For
Cancer; Howie, Baby Bear, and Squirt. Paws For Cancer is a canine walk-a-thon
fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and is organized by Dr. Holly Woltz of Veterinary Services
in Aiken.
It was a fantastic event with lots of great dogs - and people! Photographers
from the Aiken Standard and Augusta Chronicle were taking pictures. I found
this one on the Chronicle's web page spotted.augusta.com. I wish Squirt and Joe had been here for the photo op too!
