Ron Krenta is a local artist of many talents and interests. His soft spoken, unassuming manner immediately puts you at ease. It
only takes a few minutes of conversation to realize that he is a kind and caring man, and that he is someone you would like
to call 'friend'. Getting to know Ron makes it easy to understand why he generously
donated his distinctive art work to be used as a fund raiser to help others.
Ron and his wife Dolores moved to Aiken in 1998 from Little Ferry, New Jersey. Ron worked as an illustrator and artist for ITT
Corporation, and Dolores worked for the Woolworth Corporation. Like many others that moved to Aiken to retire, they both stay
busy. They enjoy the many cultural events in the area, and are very active organizing events with and for their neighbors
at Cedar Creek. Ron likes to play golf and bowl, but only does so about once
a week, when he is not committing some of the local beauty to paper. Dolores
found a new career in real estate with Cedar Creek.
Although Ron's natural talent is obvious in his work, he received formal training at the Parsons'
School
of Design and Art in New York City, and the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art in Newark, New Jersey. Some of Ron's work is displayed at Southside Gallery,
and is also available for viewing on their website; www.southsidegallery.com. Just click on Art of Aiken.
If you would like to obtain a handsome rendering of your home, business, restaurant, horse farm
or historical site, or you are looking for a new design or logo for your business, Ron is available. He offers pen & ink sketches, watercolors, pastels, logo design work and other forms of art media. He may be contacted at D&R Creative Designs, 803-643-3713.
The Savannah River Cancer Foundation wishes to express their appreciation for Ron's donation of
art work to this calendar. We anticipate that the monies raised will benefit
hundreds of cancer patients in our area.
Thank you Ron! |
